Construction Details:

I put a lot of effort into choosing the materials for this costume. I enjoy the capelet in particular, which is a blue faux suede lined with a coppery-brown bridal satin. I wanted a blue textured fabric for the waistcoat, but I couldn't find any that I liked. I ended up purchasing a cream coloured fabric and dying it, which was a pretty intensive process since I had to dye it four times to get a deep, consistent colour that I was satisfied with.

Personal Thoughts:

Since this is a book character, I did my own design for the outfit. I took inspiration from several time periods.
