Construction Details:

This cosplay has been one of the toughest labors of love of my life, and also a joint effort of many different contributors.
The coat I had commissioned because basically I'm such a big dumb perfectionist that I didn't trust myself to do it. But my original seamstress fell through so I finally found a talented lady in the midwest by the name of Rae the Dreamstitcher. When I recieved the coat, additional fitting was done.
Wig, armor, and footwear was made by me. This was my first real foray into armor but I'm really proud of the results. The older photos of this costume show the old leg armor, which has now been downsized since they were too bulky. Unfortunately, when I remade them, I used leather for the straps, which made them start to slide down my leg more easily, argh!
pants were sewn by Drakochan.
My swords and sheathes (dragon claws, rather) were made by the amazing Mousse with help from Balni!

Personal Thoughts:

I absolutely love this alt of Masamune's and originally went "and this should be easier because he doesn't have the helmet and stuff!" How wrong I was, man. Getting everything looking right was pretty frustrating. So many tears.
