About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- The crown is made out of metal paper board. I made two sides and glued them together. The wig was purchased from Fantasy Sheep and was styled to the character. Contacts were purchased at Pinky Paradise. I love how it has the anime style gleem to it. Top is lined and the pink part is casa satin. I sewn on the purple bias tape to the top. The shoulder pieces is 2 wooden balls that was cut/sanded/ and the like. Painted over with gold paint and made the green tassles. Gold pieces are also the gold metal board paper. The gold cord is 2 stitch threads I fused together. Arm bands are foamies on the inside then has the pink casa satin glue together. The dress part is about 2-3 yards of pink casa satin which was all hemmed on the bottom. Hoopskirt was made as well with the help of a friend. Ring was purchased on ebay, shoes were purchased at K Mart.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Sorry that the dress is wrinkly in some pics! I had to walk about 8 blocks to get to the Hilton in this dress. The dress was ironed before worn. This is version 2 of the dress. I am quite happy with the upgrade. I am glad I asked Shining Seiya to be my Touga cause he fits the frame quite well, and portrays the character very well to me.
