Construction Details:

I am so glad to finally be done sewing this and be able to wear it. This costume is based off the mutuality artbook cover. I made some modifications to the wing design so that it looked as nice standing up as it does when it's all splayed out on the floor and upside down. I also spent some time playing with the drape of the coat so that it would spread when necessary, but hang like a coat most of the time. I ended up making all the bias tape, cording, and buttons for this so that they would match the fabric I used for the applique. Ali helped me a bunch by doing all of the satin stitching for the applique, and her roommate Han did the airbrushing on the wings for me.
