Cosplayer FeliciaCat > Costume of Vivaldi from Heart no Kuni no Alice ~ Wonderful Wonder World~
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- The skirting and heart coat are made from about 10 yards of red casa satin. I bought and altered a hoop skirt to gice the dress the right shape, and then made a petticoat out of 10 yards of white cotton to smooth the lines of the dress. The corset is fully lined and boned. There is approximately 100 yards of ribbon on the costume over all. All the ruffled edging was white ribbon which I ruffled and dyed myself. The 120 corresponding hearts were all white bridal satin which I dyed to match, and are each heat and bonded on over a black satin heart to give them a definable outline. The coat is supported by fiberglass fish-tape, which is kept in place by marine epoxy. The crown was made out of cookie cutters, painted with rustolium paint, and decorated with jewels, scrap-booking pearls, and random other pendants I found.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I love anything Alice in Wonderland, and I adore Heart no Kuni no Alice. When I discovered the series and discovered that for once I actually liked the Queen of Hearts design, I knew I had to cosplay her, but shelved the costume for a little over a year until I was confident in my own skills to finish her.
