About this Costume
Construction Details:
I used Butterick 5322. I lengthened the sleeves and the skirt, and I cut the front of the skirt as one piece instead of two. I used the wrong side of costume satin because it was the only non-broadcloth option I could find in the correct shade of blue at Jo-Ann's. This was a nightmare of fraying. Avoid it at all costs.

The stripes are bias tape, held in place with some steam-a-seam, then topstitched down. I used probably about 15 yards in total. I originally wanted to use ribbon that had a bit of a sheen to it, but I couldn't find anything in the right width (it was all 3/8 or 5/8 of an inch—no 1/2 inch!).

I used the pendant, ring, socks, and sneakers from my previous Sue costume.
Personal Thoughts:
I'm sad to say that Glee has rather lost me this season. I'm just not invested. However, when I saw this dress in "Furt," I was like I MUST MAKE THIS.

Thank you so much to frogtographer for getting these gorgeous shots, and thank you to Umi for assisting with the lighting.
