JoAnn's costume vinyl is the bomb! Followed my Ridge Racer race queen pattern for the dress and modded it. E6000 the vinyl parts of the dress to foamies and Fabri-Tac the foamies to the vinyl dress. Dad helped with the soldering of the blinking power button that demands attention. XD EL wire from coolneon.com hella phat 5mm. Also made the Red Ring of Death as a detachable EL wire, but might just add it's own driver anyway because it's a pain to remove and connect on my own. The "wireless control arm" is wireless because I used sparkly rainbow fabric for the arm warmer connector. The controller itself is constructed of foamies and I casted the buttons from resin with the foamie letters embedded in them. The analog buttons are raised by hot gluing a piece of a Tapioca Express Boba straw and then the foamie circle on top. Secured down with E6000. Boot covers are over my 5" platform boots I've used for my race queen cosplay. The XBOX logo buns are made from cutting a styrofoam ball in half and carving the X out of them, then wrapping them with vinyl adhered by hot glue and attached to a black headband. HD VGA and AV cables on either side of headband are made of foamies. I found this kit of marshmallow shaped foamies and painted them black, wrapped the tip with ribbon and deco them out with bling! (if you know me, sparkles always come standard).
- Personal Thoughts:
- my fav part is the "wireless" controller and the head cables.
