Personal Thoughts:

This costume was pulled together right before Fanime because a group of us wanted to do Harry Potter since the fifth book was released that night. After Fanime I rushed off to get the book and got to amuse the kiddies in line to get their copy at midnight. The gown and hat were made from black velvet... without a pattern. For the robe I used McCalls 3789 and messed with it. The robe fabric is actually home dec and very stiff. The whole thing weighs about five pounds and it is HOT.
