Construction Details:

Sanding and dyeing forever. Used the folkwear historically based pattern where you measure yourself and then measure the fabric. No shoulder seams, yea-ah! Not held up by any safety pins or anything, just the... not so historically accurate obi tied in a not so historically accurate, but in game accurate, way. Painted with Jacquard textile medium and dyed several times over with a blend of RIT dyes. Protip? Rit sucks. Worn down by sanding. Protip 2. Wear a respirator while sanding all the time. Also used a razor blade for extra fraying goodness. OW. It's not an awesome costume til you bleed. >.<

Personal Thoughts:

Photoshoot by Patches done in 4ng31's creepy basement, with help from TJ & S0nified. It was a good time and I could not stop giggling, which kind of is a testament to Patches' skill. :3 This costume is so uncomfortable. I really don't want to wear it again but I really like the way it looks. AH dilemmas. ;~;
