Construction Details:

I traced the sweetheart neckline of a dress I had for the top part. XD The bottom took the longest to do because of it being gathered, but it was all pretty easy. The shoes were plain white flats that I painted using acrylic paint, the straps are actually loops of craft foam taped to my foot. LOL If I ever have an extra $15 laying around, I'll upgrade the shoes, but for now this works fine. fromzombieswithlove graciously lended me her sync clips for ALA 2011, since the ones I ordered is stuck in the "processing order" limbo. >___>

Personal Thoughts:

I've wanted to cosplay as Asuka for several years now, and when I heard that saku needed an Asuka for her group I immediately signed up. X3 I wanted to do this outfit since I find it most iconic compared to the school uniform, though I still want to do it eventually. I dislike yellow clothing in general because of my tan skin, and had to be careful with picking out a wig because I didn't want anything too orange or red, but overall I'm extremely happy with how I pulled everything together. Now I just need to take pics on a ship, shop with Kaji, find a Shinji to beat up, and I'll be all set! >:D

I purchased the wig from Chas on the coscom marketplace, all I did was straighten it and trim the bangs up.

Wig Review

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this wig, it looks absolutely amazing on my tan skin, and a nice alternative if you don't want an orange-y orange wig.
