About this Costume
Construction Details:
Scythe guns made by Lionboogy Everything else, made by me. Alot of it was hand drafted patterns. The only thing made from a modified/spliced together pattern was the ruffled undershirt, which was plain with no ruffles. Those were gathered and then placed by hand. All box pleats were made as I went, made from a stretch poplin. The dress and cape skirt is fully lined. The draw strings on the sleeves really work. The dress trim was hand drawn and cut out. Took about 3 hours for that trim alone. There are no zippers on the costume. Its all held on using hook & eyes, snaps, and elastic. Boots were bought on ebay. Then handpainted, and straps/buckles were added and sewn directly to the boot near the zipper for easy on and off. Toppers are separate from the socks. They attach by velcro. Collar is made from fun foam. Skirt is made from boning, 8gauge copper wire, and suede fabric. Attched to a 3in elastic band for the waist. Bolts are google eyes spray painted. Gloves were store bought. Harness pattern was hand drafted as well. Made from faux leather with working eyelets/buckles and snaps. There are over 100 eyelets on the costume, each had to be hammered separately. Wig was wefted to create the criss-cross part that she has. Make-up is a combination of airbrush and regular. This costume was ACP's Link of the Day 3/13/2011
Personal Thoughts:
I love this outfit. It's just a pain to get into. It takes about an hour and a half to get ready with all the airbrushing and pieces.
