Construction Details:

Uhgh. I made most of this costume while on a tiny island so a good bit of the fabric was dyed NATURALLY! Ie: The yellow orange bits smell like curry powder and the sash is grassy fresh. I wove the waraji myself out of 300 yards of gold raffia for the anime-esq color (I don't like how traditional straw ones look) which, by the way, was a terrible idea- it took for-freaking-ever. All the triangle details were screenprinted using fine mesh (cheesecloth?) an embroidery hoop and masking tape. As usual, it's technically not done *shoots self*

Personal Thoughts:

There's... way too much going on in this costume...
