About this Costume
Construction Details:
Crazy gown is crazy. I bought the main fabric at a shop in the NYC garment district. The gold decorations on the bodice are made gold cord glued to interfacing circles, they're probably what I'm most proud of, since they look like a trim. I really didn't want to leave the bodice plain like it is in the anime, so I decided to add some white trims to make it more interesting without it being too in-your-face. The first is a row of braid with tiny white pearls, and then this really pretty lace that I also used on the sleeve-puff-things *_* The beads at the waist are gold filigree spacers that I strung on beading wire and stitched to the waist. The sleeve-things are just puffs since I have no clue how to make her crazy sleeves yet. The underskirt was made as a separate piece so it didn't add weight or bulk to the waistline, and there's a long petticoat under it to make it puff out a bit more. The back bow is made of lovely pale pink crepe-back satin, I added a pearl brooch to the bow-knot just because ^^

The hair clips are pearl beads glued to clear combs, the rose was attached to an alligator clip. My forehead moon started life as a shank button XD I made the bracelet out of these really neat pearl beads that were covered in gold wire netting. The earrings are store bought, and the extra piercings (that you can't see anyway, boo :P) are stickers I got at a craft store XD The necklaces in the newer pictures were also made by me, once is a looooong pearl rope, the other is the Ginzuishou on a pretty gold chain X3

Personal Thoughts:
I've always loved this dress, so I really wanted to make it as pretty and princessy as I possibly could! ^_^ My favorite parts are the gold circle trim on the bodice, the back bow (the color is so lovely!!), and how fun it is to twirl around in (very important!)! I will probably remake the sleeves once I figure out a way to make them look pretty and accurate enough... it might take me a while though, lol XD;;

In the newer photos, Queen Serenity is my friend, M. Alice LeGrow, who makes an amazing MoonMom XD
