About this Costume
Construction Details:
This isn't an amaaazing costume, it's certainly not up to my usual craftsmanship standards because I made it for a movie premiere and not a con. Which means lots o' Velcro. I did put some effort into the wig, though~! I wefted two packs of CosWorx loose extensions into the back mesh of a short base wig from cosplayDNA on eBay. Caulked it, braided it. Lots of burned fingers. But I love the end result! However, I'm planning to use this wig for Fawn from Pixie Hollow, too, so I couldn't make the bangs 100% accurate for Ty Lee. Same reason why the braid doesn't stick up in the back. REGARDLESS. I love this costume! It's super comfy. And I can't wait to do her beach version now!
Personal Thoughts:
I love Avatar. So, so much. It's one of the most amazing shows in the history of existence! So, we hear they're making a movie, right? And we're huge fans, so we HAVE to go the midnight premiere, right? And we're also cosplayers, so we HAVE to dress up, right? Right. And it's going to be an amazing movie, right? ... :'D Despite the movie being a total disappointment, I still had a ton of fun wearing Ty Lee to the midnight showing! There weren't a ton of people dressed up, but everyone was really excited to see a Ty Lee, as no one else dressed up as her~.
