Construction Details:

David and I went as a rat and cat for LOJ 2010. I have always wanted to make this costume and it was so much fun from start to finish. We built the masks and used a lot of rhinestones and glitter to give them a very masquerade type feel.

Update! Changed it up a bit for LOJ 2011! Same goes with David's cat!

I made the tail and stuffed it with pillow stuffing and used iron on rhinestones to make it look super cute. The whole tail wrapped around my corset as a sort of belt and ties into a giant bow. The corset was topped in fur and the same gray sheer material I used for my skirt. This costume was simple but all about the accessories, hair and makeup to pull it all together. I was COVERED in glitter and caked in white makeup.

I was sort of inspired by Emilie Autumn’s rat outfit she wears on tour. I want to make a new top to go with this costume and have a few other ideas I want to try next year.
