Construction Details:

The waistcoat is made from a pattern that I drafted myself. The coat was made with a commercial pattern. I did all of the braiding myself and hand stitched it to the coat. The hat in these photos was one from a costume store which I modified, though more recently a made a new one from scratch, using upholstery vinyl with satin lining and a lot of lace and feathers. Many of the accessories are things that I already owned, along with the pants and white shirt.

Personal Thoughts:

I was quite pleased with this costume when I completed it. It is meant to have a more steampunk feel to it, as opposed to my other pirate costume which is more historically accurate.

Styling Notes

I wefted some extra hair into the wig since it did not completely cover my own hair. I also trimmed some parts of it and used gel to make it more messy looking.
