Construction Details:

The hardest part was finding the fabrics for this costume. I wanted to keep it black and white with only a touch of red for the bow-tie. The skirt is three tiers with the stripes going different directions, the vest is a sheer polkadot over a white sateen. The coat is a sheer Escher-like checker fabrc layered over sateen and then lined in black. The hat was made from fun foam and the cake is make of decorated and painted cake tins.

Personal Thoughts:

I was hoping to make an Alice in Wonderland group for a while and it just happened to work out that AnimeExpo announced their Midnight Tea competition. Originally it was just Lilacwire as the Queen of Hearts, xochii as the March Hare, snowhite_dahlia as our Alice and I. Then for the shoot we acquired Makoto and Ringo as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb, Beverly as the Cheshire Cat, and Nathan as the White Rabbit.
