Construction Details:

The Orange is a duchess satin while the white/beige is a casa crepe. I made the under skirt first with the ruffles and then patterned out and made the orange overlay skirt. The top and sleeve patterns were drafted by me. It has a hidden side zipper and the collar where the buttons on my top are is actually velcro so I can get my head through and put it back in place. All the ruffles on this dress are hand gathered including the orange trim. Making victorian styled (although not completely historically accurate of course, has been quite fun. I love the style!
