Construction Details:

Jacket, gloves, boots, guitar, and bracelet were made by me. The jacket is a super-modified dress pattern, and this was my first attempt at making gloves and boot covers. I don't like that a lot of Haruko cosplayers just wear gogo boots, because hers have a very distinct chunky heel. I destroyed a pair of leather snow boots I found at Goodwill to make mine.
The guitar is constructed almost entirely from foam. I have a more detailed description on a separate page for it. The bracelet was a last-minute rush of hot glue and craft foam. Shirt, pants, and goggles were all bought. I had a few minor complications while making this costume, but I'm pretty happy with the final outcome.

Personal Thoughts:

I really loved FLCL, especially Haruko. She's fun, quirky, and downright insane. This is probably my favorite costume because it was pretty easy to make, it's pretty comfortable to wear, and a lot of people like it.
