About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- I found a use for leftover blue fabric from my Kratos costume. It's stretch cotton so it's very comfortable. All the white detailing is appliquéd. I wised up an actually bought a mini iron for this project. The appliqué process magically became much less labor intensive and dangerous without a full-size iron, imagine that. While appliqué seemed like the logical thing to do before I started cutting the pieces, after I finished a few, I understood why many people opt to paint their designs. Herpderp, I continued onward. It seemed like an easy project at first, but yea... nothing I start seems to remain as "easy" as I perceived it to be... coughCRESCENDOcough. Whatevs, it's done, adorable, and now officially my lazy-Sunday cosplay forever. Maybe I will get legit photos of this where I'm not doing something silly. Technically that is my Twilight Princess wig, but I figured so few people would even get who I was dressed as, it wouldn't matter. I was partially right. At Otakon, a Tetra cosplayer stared directly at me, I waved, she made a confused face and walked away. Piggy pal was made from pink fleece I had left over from making cheagle plushies. It worked quite well. I would like to make more piggies like they have on Outset Island as I recently acquired charcoal colored fleece to make "Link", I haven't decided whether to make him as a piglet or when you come back to the island and he's huge. I also plan to do a non-lol photoshoot some time but it will have to wait for warmer weather when the beaches are nice.
