About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- Just to lay it out there because it bugs me too, I DID NOT WANT TO MAKE THIS PINK. The only reason I didn't make it blue was to avoid clashing with Jenny's Cinderella dress for our skit at SDCC. But aside from the color, I'm wicked proud of this costume. I put so much work into it and still managed to make it tearaway (I've since gone back and replaced all the Velcro with invisible zippers). I am looking forward to making a second version of this dress, and making it GREEN. Also holy goddamn I think this might be my 100th costume you guys what the hell have I done with my life? D:
- Personal Thoughts:
- I made this for our Super Horrible and Very Wrong skit at Comic Con 2010 where Marty was a mob boss Fairy Godmother and my dress completely tore off onstage. I'm not so great at describing what happened so you kind of have to watch it. Comic Con rocked my entire world and I got to be in the most well-run masquerade I've ever been to and meet amazing people and ride on a carousel with lots of Hispanic children and chill out with Nathan Fillion. No, really. That's totally him in those photos. He is an honorary princess because he already has his own Castle. ZING.
