Construction Details:

Blackberry's costume was pretty easy to make, although I did have to hunt around a bit to find the perfect fabric for her dress! That butterfly print seemed to come in every color of satin but red. O_o The hardest part was modifying the shoes by covering them with the matching dress fabric and adding straps. I was also able to use a wig I already owned after styling antenna bangs for it, and CJ lent me the collar and cuffs for the costume.

Personal Thoughts:

My wonderfully talented boyfriend CJ (Sozokureed) is the creator of Heaven System, an online comic. When he asked me to model one of his characters for Fanime 2010, I happily agreed! He suggested I cosplay the sexy dominatrix Blackberry, because he feels I'm able to represent strong, powerful women while still being feminine and beautiful. ♥ While her personality isn't exactly similar to mine, I do love how the character looks, and had so much fun being a part of the Heaven System cast!
