Construction Details:: Entirely handmade in a one night desperate rush to finish before San Diego Comic Con, which (surprisingly) turned out nicer than I thought it would! I just have to wear those gigantic knockoff Louboutins to avoid tripping on my train. The trim is pieced together from two separate trims and the journal was made for me by my wonderful friend Moira, who is also the Eleventh Doctor with me in these photos.
Personal Thoughts:: Early in 2010, I got sucked into watching Doctor Who, which I enjoyed in stride. And then River Song showed up and suddenly ALL OF MY FEELINGS JUST TAKE THEM, and I was pretty much hooked on the show for life. River is far and away my favorite character in Doctor Who (including S6 seriously wtf was that about). She steals the show in all of her episodes and I was dying to make this dress the second it came onscreen.
