Construction Details:

All the orange/yellow for the leg warmer things and the majority of the top is a stretchy poplin. The top was a princess seamed bodice which I modified to work for the top. It zippers close in the lower back and then the top blue bit (which is suiting over a heavy denim for strength) laces up. The blue skirt is made from blue suiting which I painted the stripes onto, edged with bias tape and put in eyelets to lace up the sides. The cuffs and side pouch are made with microsuede as I had some around and I like its look and feel over that of leather/pleather. Finally the little wrist spurs and seat belt buckle on her chest are painted foamie. The hat (100% Leather)was bought, but modified to have the strap which goes down with the green bead (luckily I was re-watching the series while making the costume and looked up at the right moment to happen to notice that detail!)

Personal Thoughts:

This costume is so silly but I love it. I do really enjoy Burst Angel, even if the show's plot is questionable at best. The costume is really just a bunch of little pieces which make up the whole. AND I LOVE MY HAT! Because of this costume I've had the pleasure of walking around the New York area of few times wearing it...so much fun!
