About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- The wig was already a good color and style, so it was just purchased off of ebay. I thought, "Her hair looks like Farrah Fawcett, so I typed her name and wig into the search, and BAM, there it was, ahha. The black parts of the costume were done with a 4-way stretch spandex, while the red I did in a 4-way stretch knit. I chose a shiny spandex and a matte red because of the way the costume tends to be shadowed. The black is drawn with like shine marks, while the red isn't, so I took my cue from there. It was nice though since the knit was really soft and comfy. The interesting part of the construction was making the stomach show while being attached to the panties, and having it fit without bellowing, which I think I was able to pull off alright. The mask was made by Andrew out of liquid latex and attached using a bit of spirit glue on the edges. The boots I did by making boot covers out of the spandex over a pair of heels, and I made the gloves as well.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Since I made a Dark Mary Marvel, and Marvel Girl costume, I wanted to make Ms. Marvel to add to the collection, and since I love making "vintage comic costumes" this was he version I settled on. :)
