Construction Details:

We came up with the idea of having a Hetalia girls-only picnic photoshoot way back during Colossalcon, and it finally happened in August. I chose Belgium, because I thought her outfits was cute and she wasn't getting enough love. Now that we've seen a bit more of her lately, I like her even more. XD The dress is made from a 'linen-look' fabric, and the shrug is cotton. I managed to make the dress fairly fitted at the top without using a zipper all the way down my back, but getting into the dress then required a bit of... arranging. XD I made the dress without a pattern and the shrug with so much altering, I might as well not have used a pattern. O_o You know how that can be~ I love the wig~ I bought it on cosplay.com's marketplace and cut it short. It was quite curly, so I brushed the curls out a bit. I got the shoes in Japan at UniQlo. You can't actually see her shoes ever, but I wanted to be able to move in the dress without tripping over the hem. And those shoes are comfy.
