Construction Details:

I really grew to like Zoey as a character when my boss bought me Left 4 Dead for my birthday in June 2009. Every week or so my boss, my co-worker and I would play a campaign or two for fun and we each became attached to different characters. I loved the little quips Zoey came up with and I identified with her. Given that I have brown hair, I always pondered Cosplaying Zoey using my own hair. I was a little worried about finding shoes and making the jacket so I didn't think about Cosplaying seriously until I walked into an Ardene's accessories store in March 2010 and found a cheap pair of converse-like shoes for $13. For that price I figured that I could put together a Zoey costume fairly easily. Almost everything came from my closet or was purchased. The only homemade part was the jacket and the jacket turned out to be pretty tough to make! The fabric I was using was a little flimsy and I had trouble modding a really baggy jacket pattern for this. When all was said and done, I think it turned out pretty well. Personal Thoughts:

I had a lot of fun Cosplaying from Left 4 Dead and doing a photoshoot in my area. Stillvisions and I discovered an amazing park with ruins of what we think was an old mill. That made for some amazing photos! I used my own hair for this costume and I got it cut now so I can't wear this again for a long time. My only regret is that I never was able to do a photoshoot with other Left 4 Dead Cosplayers!
