Construction Details:

Considering how little there is to this costume, I made sure I took my time on it. I finished every stitch and every hem and made it ~*FANCY AND PROFESSIONAL*~ (I think) so I'm pretty proud of it! The arm/leg warmers are my favorite, and it was my first time making/working with ruffles! The painted parts on the leg warmer were made with a couple different types of stencils, I'm not cool enough to do it all my hand yet XD

used .75" plywood and hardboard for the blade and a 5/8" and a 1" dowel rod for the handles. cut the basic shape of the blades with a slot cut into the plywood for the dowel. i used combination of wood glue and gorilla glue to make everything hold together. used a jigsaw to cut the teeth and used a sanding bit on my dremel for all other definition. the handles are covered in wonderflex. used a heat gun to shape it all. zapped everything with about 3-5 layers of kilz spray followed by spackle to spot fill things. sanded,taped and painted.
