Construction Details:

I have always loved Queen Nehelenia, so when I ran across a bolt of dual toned crystal Organdy...I knew I had to make her! Villains are an absolute blast to cosplay! and Nehelenia is no exception!

This dress came together surprisingly easy. I had go into it expecting a fight, but a co-worker of mine loaned me her serger for a few weeks and I definitely took advantage of it!

The dress base is four layers of circle skirt cut for a train. (1-lining layer. 2-organdy. 3-dull tone crystal organdy. 4-gold chinchilla solid). Each layer is sewn together at the top and attached to the bodice. The bodice was hand stitched onto a bra for support and shape. The necklace beading was hand stitched onto the bodice for stability.
This whole thing slips on rather easily and is very breezy to wear! I should also mention, this dress eats whatever I sit on. lol.
All said and done, this Cosplay took 55 yards of fabric to make!

Personal Thoughts:

This maybe one of my oldest costumes...but I still love to wear it! lol.
