About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- Haha, I borrowed this from Adora, originally I purchased this for her on the coscom marketplace as a late birthday gift, but I ended up remaking or replacing nearly everything to my liking, with the exception of the base dress itself. WHY? All because I insisted on remaking the boot covers out of vinyl fabric, and naturally I wanted the thigh pouch to match... then the dress buttons, sleeve patch, collar, and hair clips had to follow, of course. >___> The boot covers took maybe 2 tries to get it right, as 2-way stretch vinyl is a bit annoying to work with, and I made my own pattern for the thigh pouch which has a d-ring closure and zippered top so it's fully functional! The dress is also oh-so-accurately short...
- Personal Thoughts:
- It was really weird not cosplaying as Anemone for once! 0___o; I really had no idea how to pose for Eureka, as she really isn't the type of character I like personality-wise, so I tried going for some model-esque poses and whatnot. I think it worked out okay, for the most part. I also find it hilarious that people kept thinking I was Adora, especially her close friends... we do that a lot, apparently. LOL

- Styling Notes
- I didn't use the wig that the costume originally came with, and instead purchased a new one that already had the right "flippy" look in the back. It was originally a pale silver (almost looked white depending on the lighting), and hand colored it using Copic markers in "Mint Green" because the last few times I tried spray dyeing a wig it turned out horribly messy.
- Wig Review
- I purchased this from CosplayAnimeWigs before they changed everything over to the CosplayDNA line. ^^; The wig itself is pretty average quality, but it's a nice style and takes dye jobs nicely.
