Construction Details:

The top is made of a knit, the dress, headdress, and purse are all cotton. The lattice pattern on the bodice and at the hem was created using ribbon, and the trim on the bodice is a combination of bias tape and hand-gathered ruffles. The little orange flowers were bought from a seller on ebay. I drafted the pattern for the purse myself :)

Personal Thoughts:

Since Kobato wears this dress to a Cherry Blossom Festival in the manga, I though I'd make it for Sakura Matsuri at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens ^_^ I had a lot of fun wearing it, though it was really hot that day, too hot for the long sleeves and high-neck XD;;;
