Construction Details:

When I fell in love with this dress, I forgot that ruffles eat fabric faster than a ravenous piranha. There are 4 full yards of 56-wide shantung in that mini-dress, kids!

Personal Thoughts:

I didn't think I would like NANA much, but once I started reading I was hooked, largely due to Nana Oosaki's loud-but-tender refusal to be anyone other than herself. I feel like this outfit--a gorgeous girly dress paired with ass-kicking boots--offers a peek into that complicated but unapologetic personality.
