Construction Details:

This costume was completely made from scratch, with the exception of the gloves and garter stockings. Everything on the dress is french seamed, and rough edged are covered in bias tape. The ruffles were all gathered by hand. The petticoats were my first ones ever, and while the inside one is rough, I gave the outer petti a lace edging. The stripes on the sash and bow were individually made and attached by hand. This costume is not without flaws, of course. But I do think it has a lot of positives to it, and I'm happy with it! I really fell hard for the character of Natalia, and I have worked hard to do her justice in all my costumes for her.

Personal Thoughts:

So begins my descent in Hetalia. I know a lot of people hate it and think anyone who likes it is a moron, but meh. I'm too old to care what random fans think anymore. My husband and I are having a blast with it. I really fell for the character of Natalia, in part because of some GORGEOUS doujinshi there are for her. In fanon, she is a rather badass chick who can hold her own in a fight. In canon, she makes me lol with her Russia stalking. I love her design and think she is the prettiest girl in the show. I can only hope I do her justice!
