About this Costume
Construction Details:
first off, let me say it was SO MUCH FUN to run around as this guy - majority of my costumes are characters with more srs business faces or slightly on the creepy side (Noitora lol), so it was refreshing to do someone with a lot more outgoing personality =D AND I GET TO GET AWAY WITH BEING OBNOXIOUS AND SAYING I'M MORE AWESOME THAN YOU 8D lol -the wig was suuuuuuuuuuper easy to style - really helped that the fibers already stood up on their own so i just had to tease everything in place, add a little hair glue and spray it. Thinning shears really helped out with the bangs (borrowed them from a friend, need to get a pair myself). -top was modified from two plain black t-shirts, one for the actual shirt and half of the other for the collar. Used craft foam to make it stand up, and the silver part/tie is pleather; "grommets" are buttons covered in model magic and painted with a silver acrylic. -the pants I LOVE because they're super comfy AND have functioning pockets! Made out of white denim, a heavy black twill, and the silver trim is done the same way as the one for the top -belt is craft foam covered by two "tubes" of silver pleather with model-magic covered buttons painted silver. Need to e6000 them onto the belt because a few of them kept popping off DX -gauntlets are snap couplers (found in plumbing section at Home Depot) covered in black twill. The gloves were originally fingered and I modded them to be fingerless; the trim on the finger-holes are silver acrylic, the silver trim on the palm is silver pleather with the detailing done in black 3d-paint. -boots were originally those typical yellow/tan work boots, spray painted black with autobody paint. Silver is acrylic and the star is done in acrylic -Tsubaki dagger was originally a dollar store plastic katana, spruced up with chrome and chrome/black acrylic and blue bias tape for the tsukimaki.
