Construction Details:

I have wanted to cosplay Miwako for a long time, and when Tranquility and I found out we were going to NYAF to compete in the Masquerade, we decided to finally make these costumes. I made my dress, shoes, backpack, accessories, and styled my wig. The dress is made from a heavy bridal satin with handmade velvet appliques making up the pattern. I made my own petticoat to go with the dress. The wig was already parted in the back, and I added on the pigtails and "ringlets", which were styrofoam balls wrapped in matching wig hair. This was our first time participating in a skit. We practiced a ton and tried our best! Tranquility and I made our own stage props as well. Lots of fun! We won Best Journeyman at NYAF, and were so excited.
