Construction Details:

The wig was the most time consuming and difficult part of this costume... well maybe next to the sword. For the wig i created spiral shaped odangos and wrapped hair around them much like many of the sailor moon hair tutorials. The hilt of my sword i made our of styrofoam that i carved to the right shape and coated with paper mache until it was smooth. I used wonderflex to create the details and the knuckle guard. I hand died the fishnets and the lace to get the right color. I also hand painted all of the rose designs onto the maroon velvet.
