Construction Details:

The lovely Camittles wanted to re-create the famous Adam Hughes artwork showing various heroines and villains from DC Comics all in white dresses. Except for Selina, because she wasn't invited. The black dress in question was borrowed from my mother, but I ended up having to completely destroy it to make it even relatively accurate to the artwork. It was originally a very ill-fitting (i.e. 6+ sizes too big for me) black stretch dress, which hung straight to the floor. I cut it up both side seams and up the front, and added triangular panels to add more body to the bottom of the "gown." I then took in the sides a LOT to fit me, as well as sewing up the armholes to fit my size. Then I dyed my hair jet black in the hotel bathroom. The things we do for cosplay!
