Construction Details:: I made the vest using an original pattern made by Dia that I altered to fit my size. I built the boots off a pair of platform sandals because Haruko wears these big chunky things with no distinctive heel that are impossible to buy anywhere. I made the gloves and the space bracelet (which is all sheet metal!) and I crapped out the Rick in two days after my original plan fell though. It took me years to find the perfect wig for this, as Haruko's hair shifts constantly from pink to peach to light orange, but I came across this amazing one randomly and didn't need to custom color it at all! Thanks, eBay!
Personal Thoughts:: I've wanted to make Haruko since 2003, when I first watched FLCL on a busted Compaq in my crappy little freshman dorm. It took me a long time to finally make her, but I was able to have my local friends jump in on a huge group with me in '09, and it was all worth the wait!

Styling Notes: A few light chopping and trimming here and there. I'm a huge fan of Ayanamisatoru's wig fiber shades, and this one worked perfectly for Haruko!
