Construction Details:

I wanted something foofy and girly to wear while I was giving my cute judge's award at Anime Boston 2009, and so I thought that this would be the perfect outfit to make! This is my third Nadja costume now, and it was a lot of fun to wear. I made it from a deep red cotton (although I ish I had chosen something a little fancier, but I didn't have too large of a budget..) and I made top top with princess seams and a back zipper, and then cut out large rectangular pieces to gather into the three skirts. The white ruffles I hid in between the two layers of red I used, and I added the black stripes with black bias tape. The wig I got from my local wig shop, and then I created a bun out of styrofoam, which I covered in matching blonde hair extensions, then added a fake rose and a red band.
