About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- I was invited to play Belldandy for PersaCon's Turnabout Theater, and of course, how could I refuse? When I first started cosplaying, this was a costume I always wanted to create, and now I finally had the chance. She was made in a little over 2 weeks, the patterns all drafted by hand or draped. The blue outer dress is casa satin from Jo-Anns, the under dress the same fabric but in white. I found deliciously beautiful gold triangle trim that I opted to use as opposed to painting or embroidering gold triangles. Her pink head wrap is still in the works, needing to have the purple/red/whatever color circle screen printed on (whenever I find my extra silk). most of the jewelry was created by my fiance. The wig was graciously created by PersaCon's Chair Lauren, who then gave it to me after my performance. I adore the wig to death, but after bringing it home from Huntsville, the ponytail slipped and I need to bring it up higher.
