Construction Details:

This is like...a costume and a half. This was my first attempt at armor making. All of the armor is made from DAS airdry clay and all of the gems are resin-cast.

This is also one of the hardest wigs I've made - mostly because Hikaru's little 80s rattail is absolutely ridiculous looking and would look absolutely horrible IRL. So. I compromised with a thicker and UBER LONG braid made from loose extensions that were wefted and sewn into the wig. The rest of the wig is a chopped up femme fatale from Amphigory. :D

Compared to the wig and the armor, the actual sewing part of this costume was really easy. I'm always adding new stuff to this costume, so it keeps changing a little everytime I wear it.

Styling Notes

This wig started out as a femme fatale and then I chopped it to bits. The braid was two really long packs of loose extensions from Dr. Locks, which I made into wefts and then sewed into the base of the wig. Braiding was more difficult than anticipated because of the length of the extensions.
