About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- This cosplay went through quite a lot of improvements since I first wore it back in 2004 ^^u Maybe today my choice of fabrics would be different, but I was more or less satisfied with the results the first time... but when I wanted to wear it again 3 years later I realized the dress had to be much more tight (it should've been tighter to begin with, and I lost quite a lot of weight to boot), so my mother and I took care of that. And the last time I wore it, we modified it again so it fitted me even more (and the skirt has been going shorter and shorter XD).
The boots have been changing from one version to another, but they still aren't perfect: the last time I bought a pair that looked more or less good and brown leather to make covers for them, but I didn't have enough time to do it, so that'll have to wait for another time.
I also added a few minor details from the first version, such as her black wristband, pearl earrings, ID card (which I lost ;_;) and my lovely PenPen plush, which was an unexpected birthday present from my friend Shaykow XD

- Styling Notes
- The two first times I used my real hair, first straightened and dyed by myself and the second done by a hairdresser and adding violet reflections to it, but it didn't look good enough, so I ended up buying a long violet wig I really love and which I think it's more accurate color-wise. I still want to curl it a little bit to achieve that wavy look she has (I didn't do that due to time constraints as well T_T). The wig had very minor styling the first time I wore it as Misato: I only cut the bangs a little bit and added hairspray to lift them up.
