Construction Details:

I ran out of time to be the character who I originally was going as, so I decided to pull together a last minute Kikyo cosplay. The kimono top was purchased online and arrived way to big for me, but I made it work in the end. The bottom hakama was hand made. Starching the top piece didn't make it stand up, so in the end I sewed a long piece of cardboard inside it, which worked perfectly. The tabi socks were also handmade and the shoes bought from a local WalMart. The wig wasn't long enough so a hair extender was purchased at local beauty store and the soul snatcher earrings I wore during the convention to give it a little something extra, were crafted by my sister, TheDustyPhoenix. I still need to go out and take nice pictures of me, since I didn't do it at the convention. I'll probably do that sometime in Fall to get nice pics of me with the leaves.
