About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- Shirt is made of a nice cotton knit fabric, and the yellow line on the costume is a zipper. I hated how most Neku cosplayers used an actual yellow line on the costume since it looked cheesy against the blue color. Shirt is handsewn except for where the collar is connected to the shirt<---LIE: I thought it was machine sewn, but much later realized that it was handsewn as well. (Also, according to another Neku cosplayer, the seams on the bottom of the shirt are hidden - I didn't even remember that I did that). All the pins for Shiki and myself are redrawn by me, and created online. I used my regular shoes for the costume, since the shoe covers for Neku look lame in my opinion. Also, the line on the edge of the blue on the pockets are from a broken window blind XD.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This costume is really comfortable to wear and really cool, especially at Otakon after wearing Johnny for 12 hours. Lots of people recognized Shiki and me even despite the short time I wore the costume...which leads to the creepy alcove man story....hahaha
