Completely handsewn. I even made the frog clasps for it cause I'm crazy like that.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was chosen to wear with Masayume's calender Tsubasa group. Just before the convention I was diagnosed with cancer so I thought I was going to end up missing out on wearing it. But because I have amazing friends (and an overprotective father) I ended up getting to go to Otakon even as I was going through chemotherapy and got to be part of that amazing group. It was a very difficult coat to make but I am proud of how it turned out. I used drapery suede for the lining and the green trim because that was the only way I could get the right color greens and it made the coat very hot and heavy, but I think it just adds to the richness of it.
