Without a doubt the most difficult costume I've ever made! The armor is made out of plastic sheeting, spraypainted and aged with acrylic paints. All the armor was custom-patterned to fit, bent with heat, and riveted together with steel rivets that were dremmeled and hammered in. Leather belts and straps made from real leather hide, sealed and painted. Garments are all finished with serger, cape is fully lined. An interesting fact is although my fingers are fully armored, they are the most mobile part of my body when wearing this, lol. All of us each worked on our own costumes, so I had to teach myself how to work with the materials and there was a ton of trial and error. It was especially hard to make sure all the pieces lined up symetrically and were sized the same on each side. This costume was just one tricky demon! But I'm pretty happy with the end result.
Personal Thoughts:
This costume got me in trouble with the neighboring tennants, all the rivetting out on the patio apparently was a disturbance. Darn you, Griffith! Nowadays I always have to go over a friend's house to work on props and other costume pieces that require loud noises.
