I am a HUGE fan of the Fushigi Yuugi series, and absolutely adore Genbu Kaiden. I like the character of Takiko because of her inner strength and spirit. Also because she's not a hopeless idiot, unlike another well beloved Miko. Pink kimono made using the Simplicity Kimono pattern found in the costume section of the book(s). The white under "yukata" is actually a haori and was made using a different Simplicity pattern. The Hakama are official kendo hakama. They and the shoes are they only bought part of cosplay. The bow is made from satin ribbon and attached to a small hair clip.
