Construction Details:

This is one of the outfits that Count D wore in the chapter where he went on vacation with the Orcots and got amnesia after falling off a boat. I'm usually attracted to more elaborate outfits but wanted to make this one since D with amnesia was hilarious and possibly the funniest thing in the whole series! XD

I painted my own fabric for the skirt since I wasn’t able to find a similar print. I made a flower stamp out of layers of craft foam and foam core which I used to put an initial coat of paint on the fabric. That sped things up since I only had to fill in the outlines and even out the paint afterwards. The sewing itself was pretty simple and I got through this costume in a week so it was my quickest ever.

Personal Thoughts:

I still want to take pictures of this on a beach sometime since the characters went to a tropical island for their vacation. I wanted to try during my recent lake vacation but the weather wasn't very good and we never made it over to the water with this costume. And because I'm silly, I also want to do a better recreation of the scene where D walked into a glass wall. XD;
