Construction Details:

I wanted to take a stab at a lolita type outfit and was reading the manga for this series. I absolutely loved the design for Lia so decided to make this dress as a test project. I used over 5 yards of blue velvet for the bodice and over skirt. Still, I love this costume to death and will try to do more characters like this in the future. This is the Manga version of Lia's dress.

Personal Thoughts:

Got a new wig for this and a new sword which i made from a styrofoam ball that i carved with a hot soddering knife. I sealed the ball using friendly plastic and rigid wrap, gave it a good primer coat and painted the whole thing gold. The designs on the front are craft foam and a resin cast gem. Honestly it took me only a couple of hours to make!
