Construction Details:

Amy and I decided on these costumes a long time before they were made, There designs are so cute we couldn't pass them up! All the patterns were draped by us on my dress form then made into patterns and adjusted to fit us. My white top is 5 panels with a hand-kerchief hem and the inside seams are finished with seam tape to keep from fraying. My skirt is just a simple gathered skirt but the fabric was cut on the bias so the stripe pattern would be going diagonal. The fabric is also raw silk ^^;; But the pattern was IDENTICAL to the image so I forked over the monies ;___; ! The wig was striped of its black color from another costume then set in a dye bath of light purple. This costume was really tedious....and I look like a cupcake in it, but over all I love how it turned out! ^O^
